Recently Mama Tigre was featured in the Northern Virginia Magazine. In an article written by Alice Levitt, she writes that Oakton’s Mama Tigre features remixed Mexican food from chef Renu Prakash.
Here is a snippet of her article, “Chef-owner of Mama Tigre, Renu Prakash, says that she played with spices like other kids take on Play-Doh. Now, the former owner of Tequila Grande in Oakton is playing with spices for an internationally influenced menu of Mexican favorites. “When an artist paints a woman, it doesn’t matter what country she’s from. It’s art. I want people to appreciate spices and enjoy what it brings to you,” she says.
